Zola Seat & Back Cushions
One of the things that you cannot "feel" online is the superb comfort of our furniture. We use 100% Natural Latex in all our seat cushions. This provides a level of comfort that is unsurpassed by any man-made materials. From the moment you pick up one of our cushions, the "heft" of latex alone gives you an idea of the quality of the material.
Our latex seat cushions, which are first wrapped in a delightful layer of organic wool before being encapsulated in a cotton/hemp barrier cloth, weigh in at an average of 10-15 lbs. A standard polyurethane seat cushion weighs in at an average of 4-7 lbs. This difference in quality, density, and resiliency, insure that your seating comfort will remain consistent for many years to come. If you have ever had a set of polyurethane foam seat cushions lose their comfort in a few short years, you will understand the benefits of latex.
Our back cushions are available in either a plush 100% Natural Kapok (not available in California), or our signature Latex/Wool combination. The Kapok filling has a feel that is very similar to Down, without the toxic chemicals that are often used to treat bird feathers. Like Down, Kapok will require occasional "fluffing" to keep it's loft. The Latex/Wool combination, while not quite as plush as the Kapok, is very resilient, requires little maintenance to keep it's shape and gives the piece a clean, crisp look.
